I PLEDGE FOR

    Phoenicia’s #IPledgeFor

Phoenicia pays tribute to remarkable women on International Women’s Day

This year International Women’s Day campaign and theme "pledge for parity" aims to get people to commit and take action to accelerate gender parity in the world.

On a national level, the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut decided to pay tribute to successful Lebanese women and voice their stories with the world to inspire generations to come.

Phoenicia’s #IPledgeFor campaign aims at helping Lebanese women achieve their ambitions, nurturing a gender-balanced leadership, with respect to difference, and to developing more inclusive and flexible cultures.

Part of the tribute, Phoenicia made sure the women got some time for pampering and tranquility followed by excitement and a documented interview, to end with a photo-shooting session at Studio Phoenicia, highlighting their strength and beauty.

The event was held with inspirational ladies from all walks of life: business women, sportswomen, artists and moms.

    Such as:

Aline Kamakian | “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year”owner of the restaurants Mayrig and Batchig.

Nada Abou Farhat | Award winning actress, most loved and respected actresses today in Lebanon and the Levant area.

Lena Gebran| Founder of Kunhadi NGO

Gretta taslakian | Lebanese athlete (sprinter) She is the first Lebanese woman to participate in two and three Olympic Games.

    Nadine Jaber | Lebanese writer

Allisar Caracalla | Lebanese dancer and choreographer. She is the founder and director of the Orientalist Dance Company and CDS, the Caracalla School of Dance.

And others will be joining throughout the month of March.

Hoping this initiative reaches and inspires change regarding gender equality and contributes in helping Women in Lebanon and the Arab World to follow their dreams and goals.
