Phoenicia Hotel Beirut Appoints New Food and Beverage Director
Phoenicia Hotel Beirut announced today that Francois-Xavier Fiorilla has joined the hotel bringing years of food and beverage experience and knowledge to the leadership team at the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut.
Mr. Fiorilla has been in the hospitality business for over 12 years, and most recently in 2015, he held the position of Experience Director of Food and Beverage at The Address Hotels & Resorts, Dubai.
Fond of cooking since his early childhood, where he used to hang out around his grand-ma’s oven in Normandie, Francois wanted to become a chef but his parents eyed degree in Mathematics. But the passion of good food and great service took him back to the kitchens as he left France to start a new career in Spain in 2001 as Restaurant Operator for the hip French restaurant “El Clodenis” in Ibiza with the restaurant owner and Michelin Star Chef Denis Gentes.
Always looking for new challenges and making his way through some of the best Chefs and restaurants of USA and New York he developed his career all throughout 2004 to 2008 from “La Goulue” Bistrot to a Director of Operations at the “Fig & Olive”.
In 2011, Francois left New York for Dubai to join the luxury hotel family, where he held several positions up until 2015.
From General Manager of “Burj Al Arab” to Director of Food and Beverage at Emaar Hospitality Group until his recent position at The Address hotels, Francois’s commitment and desire to provide the ultimate customer experience is marked through his training skills, giving each property he touches a competitive edge within each market.
