Phoenicia Beirut shakes up Valentine’s with ground-breaking ad

“What is love?” This is the question posed by a ground-breaking ad released by Phoenicia Beirut in time for Valentine’s Day on February 14.
With the tagline "There will never be just one answer to truly define love", for this traditional romantic celebration, Phoenicia breaks with conventions in a daring move that redefines Valentine’s for a modern audience, presenting a number of vignettes that demonstrate a true diversity of emotional attachments.

As a landmark hotel of Lebanon’s capital city and an icon of hospitality in the Middle East region, Phoenicia Beirut’s visionary approach to redefining love is unique not only for its break with traditions but also as it is the first hotel in the region to release a promotional ad of this kind.

Notably, the Valentine’s campaign was conceived and produced entirely in-house by the Phoenicia Beirut’s marketing department, with director Elie Fahed. Commenting on the concept, the PR team said “We define it as our love to all our guests no matter their origins, age or gender, respecting equality and differences. We feel this is true hospitality from the heart”.  Further to that, Fahed also stated that “The issue of freedom is also an ongoing hot topic in the Middle East region, and through this ad we are communicating that the freedom to simply be who you are is a beautiful thing.”
