A pinning ceremony to officially induct two new members from the Phoenicia, Estelle Btaiche and Edouard Khoury, to the prestigious global Clefs d’Or organisation took place on Saturday October 13 at Améhyste Lounge. The event marked an important milestone, giving the Phoenicia the accolade of being the first and only hotel in Lebanon to have three members of staff accredited as Clefs d’Or and proudly representing the hotel.
The Clefs d’Or (translated as The Golden Keys) is a respected international association of hotel concierges, with approximately 4000 members working in over 80 countries and 530 destinations, covering every corner of the world. Easily identified by the golden crossed keys on their lapels, Clefs d’Or members are an elite fraternity, globally connected, committed to professional development, and driven to setting new standards for guest service perfection. Their experience, knowledge and professional relationships make them the most reliable local experts and ambassadors of their chosen destinations.
The ceremony took place at Phoenicia Hotel’s Améthyste Lounge in the presence of valued Phoenicia partners, leading industry figures and media representatives. After a warm reception and welcome drinks, Phoenicia General Manager Mr. Manrique Rodriguez stated that “wearing their distinctive pins, they take pride in their mission to raise awareness of the beauty of Lebanese culture and history. We believe that our concierges are true ambassadors for Lebanon and this recognition is a testament of their exemplary knowledge and world-class standards in meeting the needs of our guests”. Following this, Clefs d’Or President Mr. Dimitris Liapis addressed the audience with a speech.
